The Richmond Wrestling Alumni Association (RWAA) is an organization with its primary goal to help fund Richmond High School wrestling and other local athletic programs, contribute to worthwhile charitable community endeavors, and help fund other charitable organizations within the surrounding area.
Short-Term Goals
The RWAA would like to reach the following goals for the 2009-2010 school year:
1.Fund the use of the 15 passenger van the Richmond High School wrestling team will be using during the school year to increase the opportunities for its players to compete at meets, travel to camps in the off-season, and travel to camps and meets outside of the State of Michigan.
2.Fund the reconditioning of two wrestling mats that will include the years of the championship teams painted on those reconditioned mats to honor those former team members.
3.Begin a long-term annuity savings plan that will be structured as such to allow for the RWAA to save a substantial fund during the next 30 years.
4.Develop a non-profit website in which all information pertaining to the organization can be accessible to anyone within our community and/or outside of our community..
Long-Term Goals
The RWAA would like to reach the following goals in the next 30 years:
1.Establish through savings and corporate sponsorship the ability to build a complete, state of the art, wrestling facility.
2.Create a fundraising network that will allow athletes and RWAA members a complete understanding of the value of community service.
3.Develop the ability to help terminally ill children receive life-long memories through donations for fun activities to enhance their life.
4.Make the RWAA among the most profitable charitable organization in Macomb County.
Services – Vision
The Richmond Wrestling Alumni Association (RWAA) is an organization that will help fund Richmond High School wrestling and other local athletic programs, contribute to worthwhile charitable community endeavors, and help fund other charitable organizations within the surrounding area.Using its 501c3 license, the RWAA will work to fundraise money to help support Richmond High School athletic projects, help fund local charities in their quests to better the local community, and teach youngsters the value of community service.Through its elected board, the RWAA will work together with the Richmond Community, its schools, and other local communities to develop a network that will allow donations to improve the community, its students, and its community.While the RWAA philosophy believes that charity begins at home and the needs of the local community will be the first priority, the RWAA would like to expand in the near future as it grows in membership.The RWAA believes that the gift of giving unto others less fortunate, such as a terminally ill child, not only benefits the child, but it also teaches youngsters valuable life-lessons they will need to understand when they become adults.Also, adults understand the internal, intrinsic values that are gained when giving.
